A Carrollton woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during an argument.

There were few details released about the stabbing, which took place shortly after 7 a.m. Friday morning at Magnolia Lake apartments in Carrollton.

Moquita Green, 25, called 911 and told the responder that she had stabbed her boyfriend after a fight “got out of hand,” Capt. Chris Dobbs of the Carrollton Police Department said.

The male victim, whose name was not being released until next-of-kin could be notified, was taken to Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, where he was pronounced dead.

Dobbs said police did not find any weapons on the man’s body when they arrived, and that police are investigating the couple’s history.

Green was being held in Carroll County Jail. She has been charged with murder, Dobbs said, but may face other charges.

“We are still investigating what happened and how this person died,” Dobbs said.

Green was employed at the Carrollton Walmart in the loss prevention department, Dobbs said.
