Officers from multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the arrest of two men in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in Waco on Friday.

Clarence Lamar Dunson, 32, and Norris Gene Hammock Jr., 23, were both arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at 280 Atlantic Ave., Apartment B in Waco.

Officers from the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office, the Bremen Police Department and agents of the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force executed the search, and reportedly seized approximately 2 ounces of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, a half-pound of marijuana and cash believed to be used in drug transactions.

“Since taking office, I have maintained that cooperation between law enforcement agencies is a cornerstone of addressing the drug problem in our community,” said Haralson County Sheriff Eddie Mixon. “The concept of multi-jurisdictional investigations continues to prove successful and provide Haralson County with a powerful tool in combating the spread of drugs in our community.”

Mixon urged anyone with information concerning illegal drug activity to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 770-646-2011.
