Community Thanksgiving Service

Bremen First United Methodist Church will hold a Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in Branham Hall. The Rev. Garvin Sellers will be the guest speaker, and the Community Choir will sing. We will be gathering canned food and non-perishable food for the Haralson County Ministry.

Groundbreaking

The Antioch Baptist Church, 715 Tallapoosa St., Bremen, will have a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of an an addition to the church building on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.

Church dedication

Highland Baptist Church, 1541 Highway 78, Tallapoosa, will have a dedication service for the new church on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. For information call Pastor Pat Patterson at 770-574-2402.

Open house

Highland Baptist Church, 1541 Highway 78 West, Tallapoosa, will have an open house for their new location on Nov. 22 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Thanksgiving dinner

Kansas Baptist Church, 2965 North Highway 100, Waco, will have its annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Celebration Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration at no cost to them. Operation Christmas Child

Steadman Baptist Church will be the drop-off/collection center for our area this year for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. If your group or church already participates in the project, please note they will be collecting boxes the week of Nov. 16-23 at the church from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Empty Stocking Fund

The youth are selling calendars, cards and note pads to raise money for their Empty Stocking Fund. The calendars and cards are $6 each and the note pads are $4 each.

Feed The Sheep

Feed The Sheep Ministries of Bremen, Ga., will host their Eight Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bremen Senior Citizens Center, 425 River Circle, Bremen. All plates are free. All orders are to be picked up at the Bremen Senior Citizen Center. for delivery you must be elderly, sick, or shut-in. We will deliver in Haralson Co. area only. Hands of Creation, Inc.

Hands of Creation, Inc. is asking for your help in providing food items to complete the Christmas Baskets to be given to those in need to make sure their families have food during this holiday season. Items to bring at drop off locations are: corn meal, sage, chicken broth, eggs, potatoes, onions, tea, butter, candy, (meat $10 donation), mayo, mac & cheese, cranberry sauce, celery, sugar, green beans, relish, corn, nuts and fruits. The Haralson Gateway-Beacon newspaper office is one drop-off location. The food and toys will be collected Dec. 11.
