The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported early Thursday morning home invasion at a home on Auger Trail off of Anneewakee Road.

According to Chief Deputy Stan Copeland, the homeowner told officers he was attacked by three black males armed with shotguns as he came home around midnight. The three men tied him up and stole electronic items from his house, the victim said.

The man was tied up about three hours before he escaped and called authorities, according to the police report.

Copeland said the incident is being investigated by the Major Case Unit.

Another reason I'm thankful for the Second Amendment. When SECONDS matter, the police are only MINUTES away.

There was another home invasion last night on McKown Road. Men had on police shirts and were armed with guns. Cannot wait to move out of Douglas County. Used to love it here.

I was born in Douglas County almost 40 years ago and have always lived here. It saddens me greatly to see our county rapidly becoming another Clayton County.

Thugs in DC

If only Earl Lee was still alive. Oh boy would he be busy.

Or better yet, they would not have made it over that hill.....
