150th Parade
Anyone interested in entering a float in the Tallapoosa sesquicentennial parade has until July 1 to mail in their application forms. They can be mailed to City Hall at 25 E. Alabama Street, or Sharon Ballew, whose address is on the application.
Yard sale
There will be a yard sale Friday and Saturday, June 18 and 19 beginning at 8 a.m. at the corner of Hwy. 27 and Hilltop Drive, Bremen. There will also be hot dogs, hamburgers, cold drinks, cakes and pies. Proceeds go to Bethel Baptist building fund. For information call 404-630-2620.
Historical Society
The Tallapoosa Historical Society will meet Tueasday, June 15, at 7 p.m. at the home of Mary Tolleson, 306 Freemen St. Come and enjoy homemade ice cream and bring your favorite “Possum Tales.” For information call 770-574-8415 or 770-574-7193.
Haralson County Senior Center
The Haralson County Senior Citizens is taking reservations for an October trip to Branson, Mo. Contact Rhonda at Senior Center in Buchanan 770-646-2029. We would like to have sign ups complete by June 10. The center also hosts Aerobics at 10 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The center plays Bingo at 10 a.m. every last Tuesday of the month and is sponsored by Southern Traditions.
Junior Cheer camp
The Bremen Blue Devil Junior Cheer camp will be held June 9-11 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Bremen High School Gym. The Cheer Camp is for upcoming kindergarten children to 7th graders. The cost is $30. Buchanan Farmer’s Market
Vendors and shoppers are welcome to the Buchanan Farmer’s Market every Thursday through the fall from 7 a.m. to noon. There is a $5 fee for vendors to cover advertising costs. Fresh and locally grown produce will be available, as well as concessions, at the Buchanan Methodist Church parking lot, on the corner of Georgia Highway 120 and U.S. Highway 27. Horsin’Around Fun Show

Golden Years Club
21st Century Leadership Ekklesia of Jesus Christ will hold registration for their Biblically based senior citizen program, The Golden Years Club, from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. June 14, 313 Mt.
