Mr. Thomason was born July 30, 1932, in Paulding County, the son of the late Benny Thomason and Ora Willingham Thomason. He retired from APAC Paving where he was employed as a foreman for a number of years. Mr. Thomason was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jane Matthews Thomason; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Terry LaCroy, Villa Rica; grandchildren, Heather and Sam Meeks, Douglasville, and Jason LeCroy, Villa Rica; great-grandson, Braden Meeks, Douglasville; sisters, Jo Stewart, Cartersville, Joyce Lingerfelt, Cartersville; brother, Gene Thomason, Yorkville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. from J. Collins Funeral Home with Rev. C.T. Warren officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m.
