Southwire employee Shelia Harris loads donated toys Friday into a Project Gift trailer in the parking lot of Southwire's Employee Resource Center Friday. The Toys for Tots drive will continue today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the same location. Toys for Tots locally hopes to serve 10,000 children in Carroll, Heard and Haralson counties in Georgia and Cleburne County in Alabama. But organizers said earlier in the week that the number of toys was far below the drive’s goal. The greatest need for toys is in the 0 to 2-year-old group and 9 to 12-year-old group.
