Mr. Williams was born on June 24, 1931, to the late John Henry and Elsie Williams. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herren and J.W. Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ann Williams; his daughter, Debra Williams Simmons; his son, John C. Williams Jr.; his sisters, Agnes Robinson, Dura Johnson and Evelyn Stanford; his grandchildren, Christopher Williams and his wife Deborah, Melody Rose Simmons, Shawnahan Aaron King, and Shaynan King; and his great-grandchild, Aaron Christian King.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Rainwater Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 29, 2012, from 1 until 3 p.m. After the services, interment services will be held at Bowdon First United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors.
