Ida Idell Stewart Simpson, 96, died on February 12, 2013. She was born on January 30, 1917, to Will and Anna Stewart in Pine Hill, Alabama.

Her survivors include the following: children and their spouses, Frances and Roy Iverson, Jack and Carrie Simpson, and John and Donna Simpson; grandchildren and their spouses, Tim and Deanna Iverson, Jason and Kim Simpson, Jacki and Clif Langley, Cole Simpson, and John David Simpson; great-grandchildren, Jaycie Simpson, Kensley Simpson, Max Iverson, Kailie-Beth Simpson, Jaxton Langley, and Carrie-Anna Langley; one brother, Byrd Stewart; and her best friend Carolyn Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Simpson, and one great-grandchild, Jake Simpson, and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will occur on February 14, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Rainwater Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on February 15, 2013, at Pine Hill Christian Church at 3 p.m. EST. Reverend Jan Stewart Tolbert will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tim Iverson, Jason Simpson, Clif Langley, Cole Simpson, John David Simpson, Dr. Jeff Stewart, and Andrew Stewart. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Minister Adam Peeler conducting the graveside services.
