Mr. Lee Connelius Rush, age 72, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012. He was born October 26, 1939, in Tallapoosa, Georgia, the son of the late Marvin Lee Rush and Minnie Madge Payton Rush.

Mr. Rush was a truck driver for Goldkist with 26 years of service and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joey Rush, and a brother, Barney Rush.

Survivors include his wife, Mervin Lee Rush; children and their spouses, Mark Rush of Carrollton, Rebecca and Dallas Harmon of Cartersville, Ronnie and Deneen Rush and Jonathan and Mia Rush all of Carrollton; sisters and spouses, Joyce Helen Lloyd, Betty and James Huddleston, Louise and Jimmy Yates and Judy and Phil Gardner; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Janice Rush; grandchildren, Kelly Rush, Kristin Rush, Macy Rush, Noah Rush, Kylie Rush, Bethany Harmon and Timothy Harmon; also a great-grandchild, Avery.

A private burial was conducted at an earlier date in Carroll Memory Gardens and a Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday, October 27, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Beulah Baptist Church for family and friends. Please bring a covered dish and join us for food and fellowship following the service.
