Mrs. Jennings was born in Porterdale, Ga., on Oct. 18, 1934, the daughter of the late Nellie Mae Swafford Taylor and Charlie Higginbotham. She was a Christian by faith. Mrs. Mary was a much loved and respected member of Heard County Community. She was the owner and operator of the Colonial Guests House. For years, she and her family have offered loving care to the patients at their assisted living facility. The people she served number up in the hundreds and all had a much more enriching life because of her great care and concern. With her caring for so many there was not much time for recreation, but when given the opportunity she loved to travel, especially to her second home in Florida. She was also a very talented creative writer. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Herbert Walker III of Franklin, Ga., Charlotte and John Bierley of Carrollton, Ga., and Sandra and Donald Mironov of Franklin, Ga.; three sons, Roy and Brenda Jennings of Franklin, Ga., Jimmy and Bonnie Jennings of Rossville, Ga., and Charlie and Norma Jean Jennings of Bremen, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
