The Rebels (4-6, 2-5 Region 4-AAA) played from behind the entire night, but were able to tie the game at 14-all late. When Jackson (5-4, 3-3) scored the go-ahead touchdown, it decided to go for two and converted, making it an eight-point game.
Haralson County was able to respond, but the two-point try failed and the Rebels trailed by two. After forcing a punt, HC had one last chance to take the lead and win, but ultimately ran out of time.
"They gave a great effort. We've got a good group of kids. We don't have the fastest and all that, but they're a good group. They all do what they've been coached to do. We came from behind, we were behind all night long," HC coach Alan Lane said. "Good group of kids. I enjoyed the heck out of coaching them this year."
Friday night's game was the final game for the Rebels this season.
