Recreation season gets into full swing

The following are youth football results submitted by the Carrollton Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department and the Temple Recreation Department from the past week: 7&8

Carrollton Trojan Gold 27, Bremen Blue 0:
Jaden Wolf scored on touchdown runs 70 yards and 49 yards. Amare Hall scored on a run of 47 yards and Donavan Bonner added a touchdown on a run of four yards and kicked an extra point. Zack Rogers also kicked an extra point. The Trojans were led defensively by Jaylin Hesler and Zack Rogers. Bremen’s defense was led by Parr Folsom and Kason Hill.

Carrollton Trojan Black 32, Bremen White 14: Kayvion Copeland scored five touchdowns to lead the way for the Trojans, with Noah Melson picking up two extra-point runs to finish up the scoring for the Trojans. John Davis and Logan Truitt each scored a touchdown for Bremen White. Carrollton’s defense was led by Jacambi Bailey, Devon Thomasson and Caden Jolly. Bremen’s defense was led by Blake Hollingsworth and Brooks Costley.

Temple White 26, Carrollton White 0: Clay Hyatt had touchdown runs of 70 and 35 yards, while Marcus Holts had a 71-yard touchdown run and Victor Edwards added a 47-yard touchdown run.

Temple Black 14, Mt. Zion 6: Cameron Merritt and Shemar Wicker each had touchdown runs for Temple.

9&10

Carrollton White 25, Bremen Blue 0:
Carrollton got on the scoreboard in the second quarter after Mecose Todd scored on runs of 84 and 80 yards. In the fourth quarter, Todd added his third touchdown of the game on a run of 42 yards and Cameron Allen scored on a seven-yard run. Cyrus McClure scored on an extra-point play. The Trojans were led on defense by Tucker Hendrix, Cameron Allen and Ryan McKephlin. Bremen was led on defense by Hank Steed and Logan Leatherman.

Bremen White 6, Carrollton Blue 0: Bremen won a defensive battle by scoring late in the fourth quarter. Brooks Hardy scored the game’s only touchdown. Carrollton’s defense was led by Redrick Hill, Chase Sippola and Austin Waldrop. Bremen’s defense was led by Jacob Maples and Brandon Mitchell.

Carrollton Black 13, Temple 6: Ja’Quarius Boykin had a 28-yard touchdown run for Temple, while Kenyon Joiner rushed for 31 yards.

11&12

Carrollton Trojan Gold 41, Temple 24:
Jaylin Thomas scored six touchdowns to lead the Carrollton offense, getting four touchdowns on offense and another two on defense by returning a fumble and intercepting a pass for a score. Clay Dishman added to the scoring by kicking two extra points and Jalen Dallas also had an extra point. Jaylin Boles scored three touchdowns for the Tigers, with Terry Joiner rounding out the scoring. Josh Ingram and Malik Almon led the Trojans on defense, while the Tiger defense was led by Terry Joiner and E.J. Hodges.

Bremen White 14, Carrollton Trojan White 0: Bremen got two touchdowns from Daimer Ivey and Brent Ivey kicked an extra point. The Bremen defense was led by R.J. Russell and Joseph Reid. The Trojan defense was led by Eddie Prather, Michael Baker and Paul Costley.
