Both teams earned a shutout, with the Lady Panthers winning 10-0 and the boys 5-0.
Taking the field and control early, the Lady Panthers took an easy two-point lead with seven minutes on the game clock. With 2:21 left Alyssia Lowers attempted another goal, but missed high on the shot.
Although Central tried to push downfield late, Chapel Hill's defense quickly took charge to wind the clock down and go into the half up 2-0.
After the break, the Lady Panthers continued their momentum highlighted by a dominating performance from Shayy Crawford on offense. With just over ten minutes off of the clock, Crawford already had three goals to her name and pushed the Lady Panthers to a 5-0 lead.
At the 24:39 mark, the Lady Panthers snuck in another goal after a kick from Crawford sailed into a crowd of players from both sides. Pulling Central's keeper off her mark, the ball bounced off players and then crept in for Chapel Hill's sixth goal.
Continuing her streak, Crawford earned two more goals at the 22 and 15 minute mark, including an impressive header over the hands of the Lady Lions keeper. With two minutes left in the game, the Lady Panthers earned their tenth goal ending the game and earning a 10-0 victory.
In a heated boys match, Chapel Hill quickly drew first blood after Danny Williams took a shot with barely a minute off the clock. Looking to bank off an early lead, the Panthers took several attempts at another goal, but could not get any shots past a ready Lion keeper.
Changing possessions for much of the half, Chapel Hill finally landed another shot after Gerard Forges pulled the keeper off the goal with 8:49 to go before the half.
The Panthers would continue to hold a charging Central squad and keep their 2-0 lead at the break.
Not slowing down to start the second half, Omar Lee quickly put the Panthers up 3-0, after landing a goal from the left corner on their first drive.
Central attempted to answer with a shot launched from deep at the 32 minute mark, but the ball sailed over the goal and no harm was done.
Continuing to battle hard, the Panthers were able to take advantage of a penalty kick and Joshua Oduyoye rolled a shot in for a 4-0 lead. Shortly after, Forges answered with another solid short kick in over the Lions keeper to stretch the lead to 5-0.
The Lions tried to make a push for a goal with the minutes winding down, but the Panther defense was just too quick and strong.
