The No. 3 Wolves won the first set before dropping the next two, forcing a must-win fourth set.
West Georgia was able to win the fourth set, but No. 6 Alabama-Huntsville took the deciding set, 15-13, to move on and end the Wolves' season.
UWG Soccer
When the UWG women's soccer team takes the field next season, it will be the first time in school history it will do so without Marisa Kovacs on the sideline.
Kovacs started as a graduate assistant for two years before being named the team's second head coach in 2006.
The Wolves went 6-11-3 this season and won its first-ever GSC Tournament game with a 1-0 overtime win against Valdosta State.
West Georgia Athletic Director Daryl Dickey said the search for a new head coach is already underway.
