She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Adams Sr.; father, Colonel Callis Simmons; mother, Bessie Miller Stubbs Simmons; son-in-law, Glenn David Finger; and brother, the Rev. W. Ray Simmons.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughter, Sarah Adams Finger of Lawrenceville; son, Eddie Adams and wife, Vyckie, of Carrollton; son, David Adams and wife, Beverly, of Carrollton; sister, Betty Temple of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Amy Adams Murphy and husband, Walt; Dr. Rob Adams and wife, Michelle, Brandon Windom and wife, Amanda and Nicole Mitchell and husband, Randall; and six great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Norcross with Father Refugio Ornate serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton, Ga.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville.
