Mrs. Reba Nell Deese of Lassetter Road, Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was born December 5, 1932, in Carrollton, Ga., the daughter of the late Dewey Hammond and Clara Jiles Hammond.

Mrs. Deese retired from Lawler Hosiery Mill with 47 and a half years of service. She was a devoted and God-fearing woman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis L. Deese; sisters, Mattie Ruth Madden and Virginia Hammond; and a brother, D.W. Hammond.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dewey and Tina Deese of LaGrange; grandchildren, Terry and Brandi Womack of Bowdon, Michelle and Ralph Dolls of Temple, Dewey and Brenda Deese Jr. of LaGrange, Reba and Timmothy “Bubba” Hemrick of Bremen, Christina and Angel Matais, Hank and Terri Lashley Jr. and Brianna Lashley, all of LaGrange; great-grandchildren, Ryan Fields, Hillary and Derik Breaux, Hannah and Moe Fowler, B.J. Anderson, Zechary Womack and Cade Brown; great-great-grandchildren, Star-Ann Fowler, Jacob Breaux, Caleb Lashley, Hayden Lashley, Damien Spradlin, Zachary Spradlin and Makaih Matais; sisters, Audrey Brock of Carrollton and Geneva and Lindsey Rigsby of Bowdon.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Mr. Ryan Fields, Rev. James Calhoun and Rev. Dewey Deese Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Bubba Hemrick, Jay Cooper, Terry Womack, B. J. Anderson, Ryan Fields, Cade Brown, Ralph Dolls, Derik Breaux and Moe Fowler. Zechary Womack, Jacob Breaux, and Caleb Lashley will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Garden.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 9 p.m.
