Mrs. Norma Jean Thompson, age 57, of Plymouth Lane, Carrollton, Ga., passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was born December 20, 1954, in Carrollton, Ga., the daughter of Jeanette Entrekin Hardigree and the late Norman Hardigree.

Mrs. Thompson began her career with Miles Pharmacy and later worked for CVS. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Tony Thompson; mother, Jeanette Hardigree; daughter and son-in-law, Lindy and Eric Newman, all of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Bill Crowe of Carrollton; grandchildren, Jacob, Carson and Holly Newman; also nephew and his wife, Michael and Dawn Crowe.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. from Welcome Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Stewart officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Phillips, Barry Thompson, David Perry, Ronnie Foster, Michael Crowe and Jeff Entrekin. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
