The No. 5 Trojans (6-2, 5-0 Region 5-AAAA) scored on all four of their first-quarter possessions en route to a 28-0 lead following 12 minutes of action, as it was the Trey Chivers show early and often.
Chivers scored on a six-yard touchdown run to open the scoring, then hauled in touchdown passes of 46 and 48 yards from Wil Garrett before Will Hesterlee capped off the first-quarter highlights with a 31-yard touchdown strike to Chip Murrah.
Chivers found the end zone for the fourth time in the opening half on an eight-yard run early in the second quarter to stretch the score to 35-0, a lead the Trojans took into the lockerroom.
Garrett added a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Glenzel Cooper finished off the scoring on a 21-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Carrollton rushed for four touchdowns and 195 yards, while throwing for three scores and 137 yards.
The Trojans now turn to next week’s battle at top-ranked Sandy Creek (8-0, 5-0), which beat LaGrange on Friday night, 47-13.
