Rosanne Shelnutt of Bremen, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, Ga., following a brief illness. Born in Orlando, Fla., on December 6, 1950, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Katherine Butler Shelnutt.

Left to cherish her memory are sisters, Sara (William L.) Martin of Douglasville, June Shelnutt of Atlanta, and brother, Dr. John (Susan) Shelnutt of Little Rock, Arkansas; nieces, Emily Martin of Atlanta and Brooke Shelnutt of Little Rock; nephews, Ben (Cathryn) Martin of Buford, and Harrison Shelnutt of Little Rock; great-niece and nephew, Sara Kate and Thomas Martin of Buford; aunts, Nancy and Veva Shelnutt of Bremen, Dorothea Macnamara of Winter Haven, Fla.; and numerous cousins and godchildren.

Miss Shelnutt graduated from Bremen High School in 1968 and Florida State University where she majored in advertising. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Following graduation she moved to New York City and worked for McCann-Erickson Advertising and then for Howard L. Marks Advertising where she was vice president. She worked with Diana Ross for nearly 30 years and oversaw all visual aspects of her work, including art directing numerous CDs, music and concert videos, tour books and photo shoots.

Miss Shelnutt was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her death. Her interests included gardening, travel, photography, reading, art, cooking and spoiling her family, friends, and her Golden Retriever, Lucky.

The family will receive friends at Hightower Funeral Home, Bremen, on Friday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home, Bremen. The Rev. Canon Steven Saul of Trinity Anglican Church, Douglasville, will officiate. Judith Montier of Atlanta will be the eulogist with music by Bernie Wong. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Bremen. Pallbearers will be Ben Martin, Gelon Wasdin, Michael Walden, Sam Stanley, Robert Shelnutt, and Brian Mitcham.
