The Wildcats (5-1, 3-1 Region 5-AAAAA) drained eight 3-pointers on the night, led by Rodney Hill’s four treys and 15 points. Kelvin Bonds added a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Marcus Miller scored nine points and Yassar El-Amin chipped in with eight points.
Villa Rica will take a break from region play today as they host Central at 7:30 p.m.

Mt. Zion boys 55, Haralson County 39: The wins keep coming for Joey Marinelli’s squad, as the Eagles (3-0) picked up their third win in as many tries on the road.
Three MZ players reached double figures, with Corey Loftin scoring 17, Matt Tuner adding 12 points and Tayon Farmer chipping in with 10.
Haralson County will host South Paulding today at 6 p.m. before the Eagles and Rebels meet again on Tuesday at Mt. Zion at 7 p.m.
Oak Mountain boys 71, Heirway Christian 18: The Warriors (6-0, 1-0) got region play off to a good start with a big win.
Colton Pollard led the way with 24 points, but OMA got double-doubles from Wade Mason, 19 points and 10 rebounds, along with Kelton Hunt, who scored 10 points with 10 boards. James Hughes also scored 10 points in the win.
Up next for the Warriors is a road test, as they travel to LaGrange Academy for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off today.
Oak Mountain girls 38, Heirway 33: Not everything was clicking for the Lady Warriors on Friday night, according to coach Terrell Barkley, but they found a way to pull out a five-point win.
McKena Lipham and Jessi Fuller did the majority of the damage, scoring 16 and 15 points, respectively.
OMA will travel to LaGrange Academy today at 4 p.m.
Dade County boys 83, Bremen 53: Trent McClure scored 20 points in Friday’s loss.
