Mr. Ronald William Davis Sr., age 76, of Villa Rica passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was born January 30, 1936, in Richmond, Indiana, the son of the late Mr. William B. Davis and the late Mrs. Ressie A. Trent Davis. He served in the United States Army retiring after 22 years of service as Command Sgt. Major, and then worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring after 15 years. Mr. Davis was a member of Callie Harbin Baptist Church of Villa Rica.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald William Davis Jr.; sister, Betty Jane Farr; and grandson, David Matthew.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Davis of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Melanie Lee and Bill Miller of Villa Rica; sister-in-law, Dianne and David Parker of Carrollton; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Michael and Barbie Castile of Douglasville, Dragen and Allison Davis of Yorkville, Jessica and Jason Wirt of Yorkville; great-grandchild, Gracie Elisabeth Castile and Abigail Faith Castile of Douglasville, Christian Le Ann Wirt, Hannah Elizabeth Wirt, Angel Nicole Wirt, Autumn Rose Wirt, Isabella Rayne Wirt all of Yorkville, Skyler Robert Boyd and Keegan Matthews Davis of Yorkville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Wednesday, December 12, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Williams and Rev. Jerry Hollis officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
