L.C. Williams of Waco passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. He was born in Haralson County, February 3, 1924, son of the late Grover C. Williams and Vassie Jeffers Williams.

Mr. Williams was a self-employed painter, a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II, a member of the Bremen Masonic Lodge #456, the Wool Hat Boys, Sons of the Confederate and Waco Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Britt Williams; sisters, Cecilia Camp, Celine Williams; brothers, Duel Williams, J. D. Williams and Nathaniel “Hank” Williams.

Survivors a include a daughter, Teresa Ogden of Atlanta; grandchildren, July Ogden of Atlanta, Jason (Tracy) Ogden of Germantown, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Nathan Ogden of Germantown, Tenn.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Tant officiating. Pallbearers will be William McClain, Terry Buchanan, Gabriel Pline, George Miller, Matt Miller, Ricky Williams, Roy Williams, Allen Williams and Vaughn Gable. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military honors and Masonic rites.
