Funeral services for Roland Quentin Hester, 86, of Villa Rica, Ga., formerly of Roanoke, Ala., will be 1 p.m CST Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel in Roanoke with Rev. Joe Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim Bennett, Phil Griffin, Arnold Rollins, Norman Stewart, John Rakestraw and Danny Phillips.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the funeral home.

Mr. Hester died Friday, Dec. 14.

Mr. Hester is survived by his wife, Macie Brand Hester of Villa Rica; daughters, Wanda Privett and husband David of Jonesboro, Ga., Vickie Kuhn and husband Glenn of Villa Rica; sisters, Clara Rollins of Woodland, Vivian Burdette of LaGrange, Ga., Laura Stewart of Woodland, Eunice Stewart of Woodland, Ala., and Fay Bennett of Wadley, Ala.

Mr. Hester was born August 21, 1926, the son of Benjamin A. and Lula Duke Hester. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked in the textile industry. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 72 in Villa Rica and served in the United States Army during WWII.

Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark P. Hester; brothers, Herman Hester, Alfred Hester and Emmett Hester.
