Mr. Parmer was born in Lagrange, Ga., on Feb. 12, 1940. He was the son of the late James Earbie and Rosa Knott Parmer. Mr. Parmer was self-employed.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Fay Hicks Parmer; his first wife, Nellie Head Parmer; one daughter, Lynn Wisener; one sister, Ilene South; and two brothers, James Parmer and Junior Parmer.
Survivors include five daughters and one son-in-law, Cathy Skipper of Alexander City, Ala., Robin Parmer of Carrollton, Donna and Howard Ivey of Waco, Lisa Parmer of Waco and Kelly Barrett of Buchanan; one son, Clarence L. Parmer Jr. of Hogansville; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Hubert and Bonnie Parmer of Tyus, Bill and Margaret Parmer of Roopville, Bobby Parmer of Graham, Ala., and Benny Clyde Parmer of Cartersville; three step-daughters and one step-son-in-law, Angele and George Turner of Ranburne, Ala., Arlena Addison of Carrollton and Rhonda Kennedy of Atlanta; and a number of grandchildren and other relatives.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. at the family residence at 855 Campground Road, Waco, Ga., with Raymond Ivey officiating.
