Mrs. Helen Louise Holmes Jenkins, 66, of Carrollton, Ga., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012.

Mrs. Jenkins was born in Carrollton, Ga., on Dec. 6, 1946, the daughter of the late Rev. Anderson Newt Holmes and Kathryn Louise Hulsey Holmes.

She retired from the Carroll County School System where she worked as lunchroom manager and was a member of Douglas Chapel. She helped with the resident activities at Carrollton Nursing and Rehab.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Curtis Newton Dobbs of Carrollton, Kimberly and Wayne Brook of Carrollton, Theresa and Paul Dunn of Aragon, Ga., Joseph Dobbs of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Randall Frashier of Milledgeville, Ga.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Jenkins, and daughter, Lisa Locklear.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Jiles officiating and Rev. Buck Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be Drake Dobbs, Paul Dunn, A.J. Brock, Harvey Phillips, Lee Baughtman and Mark Britt. Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
