William M. “Big Bill” Dromo, 75, of Carrollton, Ga., passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with the Rev. Bobby Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born in Canada, Mr. Dromo moved to Carrollton nine years ago from Marietta. He was best known as a professional wrestler named “Big Bill” Dromo. He was also a former member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, the Kennesaw Shrine Club, and was the former Major of the Provost Guard of the Atlanta Shrine Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Anne Dromo; his brother, Ken Dromo; and his granddaughter, Kandice Matthews.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Karin Dromo; three daughters, Denise Walker and husband Marc, Tanja Matthews and husband, Stan, Kelly Hicks and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Zachary, Madisyn, Corey, Rock, Cody and Chelsey; four nieces; two nephews; nine grand-nieces and nephews; and two great-grandnieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
