Mr. Ervin was born on February 10, 1929, to the late B. Robert and Lockie Ervin. He was retired from Laws Fuel Company where he worked as a system designer in their heating and air division. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Ervin.
Survivors include his son, Roy Ervin; his daughter, JoAnn Ervin; his grandchildren, Robert L. Ervin, William Eric Ervin, Stephanie Trumble, Jared Ervin, and Jessica Rigdon; two brothers, two sisters, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. After the visitation, Mr. Ervin’s body will be returned to New Jersey for burial.
