Mrs. Cooke was born on Feb. 29, 1920, in Ranburne, Ala., to the late James Ester and Hattie Mae Smith. She was a retired poultry farmer and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. CST at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ranburne, Ala. Rev. Chris Jackson and Bro. Roger Wood will officiate. Mrs. Cooke’s great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. EST.
