Mr. Kenneth Holt, 80, of Villa Rica passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. He was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Carroll County, Ga., the son of the late Mr. Gus Milton Holt and the late Mrs. Tamar Magnolia Reece Holt. He retired from General Motors Company and later owned and operated Holt’s Body Shop for many years. Mr. Holt was a long time member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Brook Holt of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Anthony Rooks of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Mozelle and John Smith of Bowdon; two grandchildren, Daniel and Amanda Rooks of Temple, Ken Rooks of Carrollton; and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Rooks of Temple.

The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Brown and Mr. Kenneth Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Cross at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica.
