William Clyde Robinson passed away in Carrollton, Ga., on Jan. 12, 2013, at the age of 87.

Mr. Robinson is predeceased in death by his wife, Ada Walker Robinson; his parents Jesse and Amy Robinson; and two sisters Faye Mackey and Clarice Roberts.

He is survived by his daughter, Marcia R. Jamerson (George) of Chesapeake, Va.; two sons, Greg Robinson (Peggy) of Aiken, S.C., and Dr. Wesley Robinson (Karen) of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Diana J. Gobien (Andrew), Dr. Matt Robinson (Jenna), Taylor and Avy Robinson; two sisters, Bernice R. Giddish (Ralph) and Una R. Jackson (Linton); and three great-grandsons, Evan and Erik Gobien and William Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was born in Bowdon, Ga. He was a graduate of Bowdon High School and the University of Georgia. He was a veteran of World War II. During his career, he worked as an engineer for Plantation Pipeline, Southern Pacific Pipeline, and retired from Colonial Pipeline in 1979.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Chamblee First United Methodist Church, 4147 Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd., Chamblee. Ga.

A reception and visitation will be held at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chamblee First United Methodist Church.

Clyde’s family would like to express their gratitude to Jodi Dukes for the attentive, loving care she provided him during the time he lived in Carrollton.
