A 70-year-old man died in a fire early Saturday morning at his home in Carrollton.

Firefighters found the body of Alvin Driver in the living room of his Foster Street home about 5 a.m.

Carrollton Fire Department Chief Jimmy Bearden said investigators were not sure yet of the cause of the fire, but said his department will receive assistance Monday from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Bearden said it had not yet been determined how Driver died.

According to Carroll County Coroner Sammy Eady, Driver was a widower, and that no one else was in the home.
