The Trojans defeated Temple, 66-39, in the semifinals to reach the championship game. Against the Tigers, Carson Culverhouse led with 16 points, while LaDamian Hunt scored 14.
In the championship game, it was Hunt as the leading scorer with 16 points, while Jorel Spear added 14 points.
Holy Ground boys basketball
The Holy Ground Baptist Academy boys' basketball team endured a tough, two-game road trip, falling to Ballard, 57-44, in Auburn, Ala., and Heritage Christian, 67-56, in Newnan this past week.
The Stallions are a little short-handed, as a couple players are battling the flu, forcing in some reserves to substantial minutes. That hasn't stopped Chandler Dedman, who continues to put up big numbers. Dedman had 20 points and 16 rebounds against Ballard and another 21 points and 16 rebounds against Heritage Christian.
Against Heritage Christian, John Cocklereece had 18 points.
The season will come to a close on Saturday, with Kevin McDermitt and Ian Parham being recognized on Senior Night at 5 p.m.
While the varsity squad has hit a rough patch, the junior-varsity boys picked up its third and fourth consecutive wins with a 31-15 victory against Ballard before knocking off Heritage Christian, 46-30.
Having big nights against Ballard was Tate Traylor with eight points and 12 boards, Blake Lee with seven points and Ethan Barnham picking up 10 rebounds.
Lee led the Stallions against Heritage Christian with 22 points, while Tyler Hale and Maxim Spruell had eight points each.
The JV squad will play Saturday at 2 p.m.
