Peggy Farmer, age 70, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at her residence. She was born on September 12, 1942, in Carroll County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Noah Ruben and Julia Elizabeth Reeves Traylor.

She worked in the bakery at Ryan’s until she retired and became a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Vance Daniel Farmer; brothers, Billy Traylor and Whit Traylor; sisters, Leola Bates, Doris Kittle and Lucille Farlow.

Survivors include daughter, Tanya and Terry Terrell of Carrollton; son, Chad Farmer of Hixson, Tennessee; sister, Pat Eason of Carrollton; brother, Jerry Traylor of LaGrange; and granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Farmer of Chatsworth.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 12 noon in Stripling Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph Corbitt, Marcus Cooper, Darwin Cooper, Donald Corbitt, Mark Stephens, John Stephens, and Michael Cooper.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 15, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
