Mrs. Denney was born on March 12, 1936, in Haralson County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Willie H. Lyle and Ozela Worthy Lyle.
She was formerly employed as a seamstress with Sewell Mfg. Company and was a member of Baptist Tabernacle Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Denney; sisters, Barbara Lyle and Betty Parmley; and brothers, Edward Lyle and Billy Lyle.
Survivors include her children, Rebecca Williams of Bremen, Darrell Denney of Bremen and Wanda and Cletus Ralls of Ranburne, Ala.; sisters, Evelyn Perry of Bremen and Shirley Addison of Temple; brothers, Randall and Maxine Lyle of Buchanan, Larry Lyle of Tallapoosa, Roger and Judy Lyle of Bremen, Ralph “Millard” Lyle of Tallapoosa and Terry and Clastell Lyle of Tallapoosa; four grandchildren, Kristie Chambers, Amanda Pike, Roy “Gabe” Gable and Amber Ralls; one great-grandson, Nathan Saxon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 23, 2013, between the hours of 4:30 and 8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 3 p.m. from Baptist Tabernacle with Reverend Paul Southern, Reverend Buddy Gentry and Reverend Joey Meeks officiating. Music will be provided by Buddy Gentry. Chris Saxon, Gabe Gable, Michael Addison, Creg Lyle, Bryan Camp and Scott Bell will serve as pallbearers. Nathan Saxon, Pete Pruitt and Preston Saxon will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
