Minister James Randall “Randy” Lamb, 52, of Alloway Drive, Villa Rica, Ga., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

Minister Lamb was born in Savannah, Georgia on July 2, 1960, the son of Mitchel Lamb and Betty Jean Broxton Lamb.

He was a graduate of Atlanta Christian College where he obtained his Bachelor of Christian Ministry and Bachelor of Basic Theology. Throughout his 30 years of ministry Minister Lamb served Cornelia Christian Church, Cornelia, Ga.; First Christian Church, Sylvania, Ga.; New Franklin Christian Church, Canon, Ga.; Villa Rica Christian Church, Villa Rica, Ga.; First Christian Church, Newnan, Ga.; Union Christian Church, Union City, Ga., and was currently serving at County Line Christian Church, Brooks, G., a satellite campus of Peachtree City Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Lamb of Villa Rica; son, Gavin Lamb of Villa Rica; parents, Mitchel and Betty Jean Lamb of Rincon, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Barbara Jean Lamb of Rincon, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Wendell Oglesby of Rincon, Ga., Michelle and Willie McKuhen of Rincon, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends at Bethany Christian Church on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Funeral service will be Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. at Bethany Christian Church with Minister Gary A. Thompson of Eastridge Community Church, Covington, Ga., Dr. George S. Dillard III of Peachtree City Christian Church, Peachtree City, Ga., Minister Allen Howard of Bethany Christian Church, Carrollton, Ga., and Minister Billy Kaylor of Villa Rica Christian Church, Villa Rica, Ga., officiating.

Pallbearers will be Matt Howard, Justin Howard, Austin Abbey, Devin Wilcox, Cody Spence, Jack Sudduth, Wayne Howard and Roy Gable.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. at First Christian Church of Rincon, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Randy Lamb Memorial Fund, c/o Almon Funeral Home, P.O. Box 163, Carrollton, GA 30112.
