Funeral services for James Albert “AJ” Huddleston, 71, of Woodland, Ala., will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 26, at Prospect Methodist Church with the Revs. Donald Leggett, Randy Terrell and Ridley Parmer officiating. The body will be placed at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Huddleston passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Huddleston of Woodland; one daughter, Sheila Ann Freed of Woodland; two sons Calvin Rex Huddleston of Indianapolis, Ind., and Dan Huddleston of Woodland; three sisters Mary Mote and Alice Strain, both of Wedowee, and Zula Bush of Cullman, Ala.; three brothers, Joe Huddleston of Florida, Lewis Huddleston of Woodland and Roy Huddleston of Wedowee, Ala.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ken Norton, Tony Taylor, Charles Mote, Adam Freed, Ricky Young and Murl Williams.

Mr. Huddleston was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Randolph County, Ala., the son of Albert and Lillie Bowen Huddleston. He was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride Poultry Co. and a member of Prospect Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Ray Huddleston; one sister, Lera Huddleston; and one brother, Benny Don Huddleston.
