All five local prep baseball games slated for Tuesday were washed out and rescheduled for later in the week, while the West Georgia Technical College baseball and softball teams also had their schedules affected due to inclement weather.

The Carrollton High School baseball team had its home opener against South Paulding pushed back to Thursday, still with a 5:55 p.m. first pitch, while Central’s home tilt against Alexander and Temple’s Region 5-AA home battle against Manchester were also moved to Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Bremen moved its non-region game against Pepperell to today at 5 p.m. and Haralson County will host Villa Rica today at 5:30 p.m. in Tallapoosa.

Additionally, the Central High School soccer teams had their Region 4-AAA openers against Douglass postponed due to rain.

At the college level, the West Georgia Tech baseball team moved its home game against Chattahoochee Valley Community College to Friday at 1:05 p.m., while the WGTC softball team cancelled its doubleheader against Faulkner State.
