Kim, 47, was born in East Point, Ga., on Nov. 11, 1965, the daughter of Clarence Burnett and Betty Lee Burnett.
She was a 1983 graduate of Carrollton High School; worked at Carrollton Eye Clinic for 28 years as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and was a founding member of Hope Fellowship.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Van R. Sorrells; daughter and her fiancé, Meghan Sorrells and Blake Williams; son, Andrew Sorrells; parents, Clarence and Betty Burnett; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Cathy Burnett; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and John Pittman; brother, David Burnett; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and June Sorrells, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, with Pastor John Latimer and Pastor Cory Fowler officiating. Music will be by Kevin Sherry.
Pallbearers will be Jason Pittman, Stephen Pittman, Seth Burnett, Buster Young, Dr. Roger Rossomondo and Dr. Dan Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Carrollton Eye Clinic.
Interment will be in West Georgia Memorial Park.
