Mr. David Samuel Owings, age 38 of Roswell, Ga., formerly of Douglasville, Ga., passed away suddenly Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010. He was born Dec. 21, 1971, in Marietta, Ga. David attended Woodward Academy, and was a graduate of the University of Georgia. He was owner of Summit Homebuilders and was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Owings; children, Natalie Owings, Greer Owings, Lily Owings; parents, Kent and Suzanne Owings; sister, Allison Owings; and in-laws Bill and Frieda Searls.

David was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, Douglasville, Ga.
